A new iPhone application to find the painted walls (murals)

Given the success of the application 'Traboules', Lyon Tourism and Conventions is launching a new iPhone application dedicated to the Painted Walls, created in collaboration with the agency and Lyons My univert.fr-City Building.

It allows visitors to experience through augmented reality and location-based painted walls made by City Design in Lyon and its surroundings, France and in the world.

Users can choose to :

View the murals on a map: in the various districts of Lyon, around Lyon, in France or elsewhere in the world.

Using augmented reality to locate near the painted walls and to be guided with geolocation;

Find a wall painted by keywords or by an address

A detailed sheet with photos and explanations taken from works of Lyonnaises Editions of Art and History is available for each mural. It also shows the route by public transport which is the easiest way to get there.

Pictures 'before and after' allow users to be aware of the work done by artists on the walls of origin.

This application offers visitors a first discovery of the painted walls of Lyon and invites them to form a more detailed tour with the Lyon Tourist Office and its guides.
