With a score of 83%, Lyon is delighted to announce that it is 13th in the GDS-Index ranking for 2023.
This score places France's 2nd-largest tourist city and 1st European Capital of Intelligent Tourism in 2019 among the world leaders, committed to a strategy accompanied by concrete actions to promote more responsible tourism.
This outstanding result is the fruit of Greater Lyon and ONLYLYON Tourism and Conventions’ commitment to sustainable tourism in recent years. It is also the fruit of collaborative work with socio-professionals in Lyon, which played a major role in attending the many consultations and working groups conducted since 2020, which are essential to devise the destination’s strategy. ONLYLYON Tourisme et Congrès continually works with the residents of its destination to build its strategy through consultations and meetings.
