We attended all five days of the show. Three days were reserved for tourism professionals, with meetings to present Lyon to tour operators and travel agents. The following two days were dedicated to the general public, to encourage German tourists to come and discover Lyon.
Blandine Thenet gave two conferences in relation to our Smart Tourism title:
• One as part of ‘eTravel Stage’, a space dedicated to innovation in tourism.
• The other was to promote the Smart Tourism title and explain the approach and aim of Lyon's bid.
This was a superb opportunity to promote Lyon and the new title, which highlights our destination's assets in the area of sustainable tourism.
