When we think of Eurexpo Lyon, we think of Sirha, Pollutec, the Auto Show and other major gatherings that are held in its vast spaces. It brings to mind the thousands of square metres where events are organised into pavilions or themed areas, bringing together hundreds of stands and booths.

Today, Eurexpo is focussing on another string to its bow: its capacity to host congresses and conventions in spaces that allow all kinds of staging designs, all on a single site. It goes without saying that space is one of its main strengths. But that’s not all: there are the facilities, the modular options, the services and the choice of hotels on its doorstep, which has been significantly expanded in recent years.

The birth of Convention Hub

Convention Hub is a solution formed of two spaces, which open up all kinds of possibilities for event layouts and highlights.
The Confluence Space, to the north of the site, combines three halls offering capacity for 1000 to 2000 participants. These are complemented by its five brightly lit meeting rooms. It also has a dedicated entrance to welcome participants directly at the venue, making it ideal to host a spectacular gala dinner.
The Paul Bocuse Space, to the south, can hold up to 10,000 participants. It also has a retractable auditorium with 4200 seats. Perfect for a series of plenary meetings. This hall also has a dedicated entrance, which is directly accessible from the car parks.

At Convention Hub, you can plan whole-day or evening events all on a single site, allowing you to optimise travel for participants.

Pushing back limits and walls

Supporting the growth of events is another key commitment for Eurexpo Lyon. With this in mind, extension works were initiated this year. The aim is to increase the currently available surface area by 10,000 sq. m to achieve a total of nearly 150,000 sq. m by 2027, with the addition of the new Hall 4.3 that is set to be inaugurated at Sirha 2027.

Eurexpo Lyon : an engaged site

Certified ISO 20121, Eurexpo Lyon has been proactively engaged in a CSR approach for several years. It covers waste and energy management, as well as redistribution and reuse of food. A few key figures:

  • 62 tonnes of wood were retrieved in 2023 to be reused in professional applications (in collaboration with Valdelia)
  • 2,28 tonnes of used food oil were collected in 2023 (in collaboration with Paprec)
  • Installation of solar panels covering nearly 13 hectares of parking spaces, along with use of LED lighting throughout the site
