Bio-Europe Spring® in Lyon in 2027
This large-scale gathering, organised in the form of a business convention and scientific partnerships, is coming to Eurexpo Lyon in March next year.
Each year, this event brings together the pharmaceutical and biotechnology communities in a different European city. At the event in March 2026, Lisbon officially passed the baton to Lyon as the next host city of this essential event in the sector. This choice is a reflection of an industry that has a
long-standing and dynamic presence in the Lyon region, and which is more vital than ever, with its strong commitment to innovation in responsible healthcare, focussed on meeting major global challenges. Each year, 3500 or so professionals come together to advance scientific endeavours.
One Health Summit, a highlight event
In April this year, France welcomed the One Health Summit in Lyon, which was honoured to be the French capital of global healthcare. The summit attracted business leaders and scientists from around the world, who came to explore the idea of “one health”, by adopting a global outlook and looking into links between human, animal and environmental health. This event with global resonance has made Lyon the focal point of this call for international cooperation and development of public-private collaboration.
One Sustainable Health: a virtuous ecosystem
An initiative born in Lyon during the pandemic in 2020 is expanding its reach. Originally an offshoot of Fondation Bullukian and now under the auspices of Institut Pasteur, the One Sustainable Health for All Foundation runs the OSH Forum. It enables international, cross-disciplinary exchanges in the
service of global life sciences. A one-of-a-kind gathering, the OSH Forum bridges science and society to recommend adaptations stemming from the One Health approach, which unites human, animal and environmental health.
Following the 2023 (Lyon) and 2024 (Dakar) editions, OSH for All Lyon 2025 was opened with a message from Emmanuel Macron to confirm the hosting of the One Health Summit by Lyon. Designed to expand the deployment of operational projects, the OSH Factory will take place every 3rd of November in Lyon to mark One Health Day. It uses the OSH Forum as a springboard to transform knowledge and practices into innovative projects involving public- and private-sector professionals.
The programme lives up to the ambition of the Global Health hub that is growing in the Lyon metropolitan area.
