RDV à Lyon is our major destination exploration event, which this year welcomed 27 tour operators from 8 different European countries: Spain, Italy, England, Ireland, Germany, Sweden, Danmark, Norway.
Some information about the programme for this short but action-packed visit:
- On 13 November, a welcome dinner was organised at the Lyon bouchon La Mère Léa.
- On the morning of the 14 November, the tour operators visited Fourvière and Vieux-Lyon, and then, in the afternoon, took part in a workshop on the Hermès, along with 33 Lyon partners who gave presentation about their products and services (accommodation, restaurateurs, activities, transport services, both receptive and institutional) to the tour operators. Then, after a relaxing hour-long cruise, they enjoyed a gastronomic dinner at Les Trois Dômes.
- On the 15th, the morning was spent exploring the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie with cookery demonstrations and tasting sessions, and this was followed by a cocktail reception in Le Grand Réfectoire.
Despite the changeable weather, everyone was in good spirits and both the locals and the tour operators were delighted with the discussions they had over the 2 days!

In 3 years, 107 professionals from a dozen European countries have been welcomed in Lyon, and have gone away with an address book full of accommodation options, restaurants, transport providers, leisure and exploration providers, and members, to enable them to put together enticing programmes. It also enabled professionals in Lyon to make themselves known and promote themselves to foreign tour operators.
The benefits were tangible, with the creation of new programmes, and the level of satisfaction was excellent.
