On 5 December 2019, the Leisure Tourism Promotion Department, in partnership with Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Tourisme, Atout France Scandinavia and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Wines Committee, organised a prestigious dinner at the French Embassy in Copenhagen to showcase Lyon, its region and its gastronomic excellence.

The 50 guests, leisure tourism professionals, journalists and influencers from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, attended this prestigious event along with the French Ambassador.

The aim was to create a special gastronomy-themed event for key contacts, to enable us to raise our destination's profile in Nordic markets, which offer massive development potential. It also provided an opportunity to deliver a presentation on the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie of Lyon and announce the launch of the La Vallée de la gastronomie in 2020.

Following a presentation about Lyon and its region, the 65 participants got to know one another during a networking aperitif, and were then treated to a dinner created by Olivier Couvin, chef at the 3* Bocuse restaurant and Meilleur Ouvrier de France, who prepared some of Paul Bocuse's signature dishes.
