Lyon has gained 12 places in 2017, putting it among the top 30 most successful European destinations, and has maintained its second position at national level. Lyon is now far ahead of Marseille (80th in the world ranking), and 3rd among French winners, with 43 congresses organised in 2017 compared to 33 in Marseille.At world level, Lyon ranks 58th ahead of cities such as Dubai, Brisbane and Los Angeles
